Based on the declaration of Chicago Hilal Committee of a confirmed moon sighting, the first day of Ramadan will be Friday, April 24th, 2020.
Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 crisis, there will be no Tarawih and Salahs at Masjid DarusSalam until further notice. We anxiously await the Governor’s order to terminate the stay at home order.
Despite, the stay at home order, we still want our community to benefit from this blessed month of Ramadan. As such, we have several programs planned for you during the month of Ramadan, including:
1. Exclusive Urdu Program – Ramadan: Spring Season for Goodness and Virtue – Sat., April 25, 2020, at 2 PM CDT.
2. Fiqh of Zakat – Sunday, May 3, 2020
3. Reviving Your Heart – Daily Talk, Dhikr and Dua by Mufti Azeemuddin Ahmed at 6:45 PM CDT beginning Ramadan 1st.
4. Pearls from the Quran – Daily Tafsir of the Quran by Mufti Minhajuddin Ahmed at 9:15 PM CDT beginning Ramadan 1st.
5. Exclusive Sisters Program – Recitation of Quran, Recital of Al-Hizb Al-Azam, and Virtues of Ramadan. Monday – Friday, 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM starting Friday, April 24, 2020!

This beautiful month of Ramaḍān has entered upon us. This is a month in which Allāh ﷻ opens wide the doors of forgiveness and mercy, and the Shayāṭīn will be locked and chained. We must use this as an advantage to increase our good deeds and virtuous acts.
Please join us this Saturday for an inspirational Urdu Talk with Mawlānā Abbas Nadwi (South Africa) as he will discuss how we can maximize our time and energy in this beautiful month and earn the grace and compassion of Allāh ﷻ.
